On January 12, 2012, I’ll set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Cozumel, Mexico, on the Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise. This will be my third Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise and my first time to cruise as a published author and speaker. My book God, Grace, and Girlfriends: Adventures in Faith and Friendship is scheduled to release in December 2011.

On my first cruise, I sailed as the cruise blogger. The second cruise I continued my role as blogger, but added group sales coordinator to my responsibilities. In 2012 I’ll add author/speaker. I can’t wait to share with everyone onboard how God brought this all together.

My relationship with Premier Christian Cruises began with a simple phone call. I was looking for information on the Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise for the book I was researching, and I found so much more.  In January 2012, Lord willing, I’ll sail on the cruise with the book that started it all in my hand. It’s been an amazing journey filled with twists and turns along the way.

God has taught me much on this adventure. I’ve learned more about the cruise industry than I thought possible. I’m honored to work with an incredible bunch of people who love the Lord and life.  I have the most wonderful customers who cruise with us year after year, and I have a great job that combines my love for people, adventure, and writing.

The Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise continues to be my favorite of all the cruises we do. It’s fun, sure, but it’s also filled with incredible Bible teaching, great worship music, and inspiring speakers.

I’m so thrilled that we’ve added 6 writing and speaking workshops to the cruise and appointments with editors from three major book publishing companies, including my editor, New Hope Publishers managing editor Joyce Dinkins.

The Lord has used the Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise  to teach me and to mold me—it’s a part of my publishing journey and I hope it will be a part of another aspiring writer’s journey too.
