In case you haven’t heard, we have welcomed a new baby girl to our New Hope family. Ashley Stephens, publicity and advertising manager for New Hope Publishers, and her husband Jeff, are the proud parents of Hadley Belle Stephens. Hadley was born February 28, weighed 8 pounds, and is as cute as she can be.
Becoming a mother is a life altering experience, so I asked Ashley to share a few words about her first few weeks as “Mommy.”
Andrea asked that I write a few words about becoming a Mother. Honestly, I do not even know where to begin! It has been an emotional roller coaster over the last 7 weeks filled with many exciting, overwhelming, and memorable moments. I have learned quickly that I cannot do this parenting thing without God. Everyday I pray for Him to be with me, to fill our house, to guide me in my daily decisions as a Mommy, and to give me strength in the tough moments aka the witching hours. I can’t think of a time in my life that I haven’t been more reliant on Him or more in love with Him! Words cannot express how in love I am with Hadley and to think that Jesus loves Hadley so much more than I can ever imagine just blows my mind! I am so thankful for such a healthy, beautiful, cuddly little girl and the most amazing husband and Daddy to Hadley.
