New Hope® Publishers is pleased to announce the release of One Life, Two Paths by Kimberly Sowell and Brian Saxon. By exposing and dissecting the decisions of King Saul, One Life, Two Paths reveals key biblical truths, spiritual markers, and principles essential in decision-making for today’s believer. Every day we make decisions and can, like King Saul, unconsciously choose a direction that leads us out of God’s favor and away from His intended opportunities. One Life, Two Paths uncovers the man who lost it all in order to help guide believers successfully in walking with the ultimate King of Kings.

One Life, Two Paths is a well-written evaluation of King Saul and extrapolated from this study comes powerful life lessons for us all. It is filled with practical life-application lessons on integrity, patience, and wisdom. You will see the importance of spiritual check-ups and learn applicable truths, which will help with daily living in the twenty-first century. As you work through this study, God’s Word will come alive in a real and relevant way. This study is a great resource for personal spiritual growth.” —Dr. Frank S. Page, president and chief executive officer, Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention

“The life of King Saul offers one of the more frustrating accounts of a leader in the Old Testament. At the same time, he shows us reality, as each of us can identify with him in some way. This study will take you into the life of Israel’s first king to see both the devastating effects of sin and the wonderful work of grace.” —Alvin L. Ried, senior professor of evangelism and student ministry, Bailey Smith Chair of Evangelism, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

Kimberly Sowell, author of the “Thin Red Line” Bible study series, is the founder and president of Kingdom Heart Ministries, a ministry dedicated to inspiring women to make their relationship with Jesus Christ the center of who they are and how they live each moment, growing in Christ and sharing their faith with the world. Kimberly holds a bachelor of arts degree from Clemson University and a master of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has authored and edited numerous magazine articles and newsletters for various evangelical groups, and has been featured on various radio and television programs. She and her husband, Kevin, along with their children, make their home in Lancaster, South Carolina.

Among Brian Saxon’s spiritual gifts are leadership, preaching, teaching, and shepherding, which he uses to accomplish his passion for making disciples of Jesus Christ. Working early in life as a civil engineer, he currently serves as the pastor of a growing church in South Carolina where he encourages Christ followers to live out their maximum potential for God. An avid football fan who also finds time to enjoy hunting, fishing, and woodworking, he considers himself blessed to have an amazing ministry partner, his wife Lesley, by his side. Together, they have two daughters, Andrea and Abigail.

The mission of New Hope® Publishers is to provide books that challenge readers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. New Hope Publishers is the general trade publishing division for WMU®, a missions auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention. New Hope Publishers is a member of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).

New Hope® Publishers is pleased to announce the release of Dare to Succeed by Joe Greene. People thought Joe Greene was crazy when he left a top position in a Fortune 500 Company to start a business that operated solely on Christian principles. But that is just what he did, and Joe’s desire to honor God with his business catapulted him to a level of corporate and financial success few can match. Dare to Succeed shares Joe’s story and the wealth of scriptural wisdom he believes is critical to any company’s success.

“In a world full of well-meaning but ultimately hollow human advice, it is important to be reminded of the power of ‘God’s Way’ in bringing joy into our leadership, work, and life. Joe Greene really takes us to the heart of the matter!” —Bob Fisher, president, Belmont University

“Having attended the CEO (Christian Executive Officer) Fellowship that Joe Greene founded, I consider him a mentor. Joe taught me that as Christian business leaders, we should strive to apply biblical principles at our places of business from Monday through Friday. His book, Dare to Succeed, is a compilation of valuable advice and remarkable insight from one of the most influential Christian business leaders of our time.” —Ming Wang, MD, PhD, director, Wang Vision 3D Cataract and LASIK Center, Nashville, TN

Author Joe Greene founded CEO Fellowship in 2005 to teach presidents and executive officers the financial and spiritual benefits of operating for-profit businesses based on principles revealed in Scripture. He crafted his vision for business leaders during his own 40-year career in the health care field, including serving as president of hospital operations for Fortune 500 Company Humana and the startup and eventual establishment of his own company, Health Management Associates, on the New York Stock Exchange. He also established the Christian Business Leaders Roundtable, which meets in Brentwood, Tennessee, where Joe calls his home.

Amazing things happen when individuals and a church, corporately, begin to minster to their neighbor with intentionality, consistency, and passion. Be inspired to find a way to let your deeds of love be united with words of truth so you too manifest the gospel to your neighbor.
