As mass media pushes a give me, give me mentality, many Christian parents struggle with helping their children understand the importance of missions and missional living. After all, with all of life’s demands, how can anyone find the time to teach their children about missions? In Missions Moments 2, Mitzi Eaker, mother and children’s missions education expert, provides parents with an easy-to-use teaching resource that fits within today’s busy schedule.
Through daily meditations, Scripture, and inspirational quotes taken from Jennifer Kennedy Dean’s works, the Live a Praying Life Journal will allow you to live out the difference between having a “prayer life” and living “a praying life.”
Packed with aids to help you teach Jennifer’s popular Live a Praying Life Bible study, this revised leader’s kit includes 12 DVD sessions that introduce each week’s study, one member book, one journal, and one CD which includes the leader’s guide, PowerPoint documents for the teaching outline and illustrations, and other helps for the Bible study leader.
This revised, 13-week study goes back to the biblical basics of prayer, cleaning out myths about prayer to rev up a powerful, ongoing connection to God that can invigorate every aspect of a Christian’s life. The author tackles the complex theological questions: If God is sovereign, why pray? If prayer is not a way to change God’s mind, what is it?

The church is not dead, nor does it need to be abandoned as some think. It is still a body that can best demonstrate the heart of God to a needy world. Many have looked at the church with all its flaws and turned their backs on it saying it has passed its prime. The main reason for this is that the church has lost its love for one another and consequently for God. While the church may serve God, try to please God, and make efforts to obey God, love is sadly missing. This lack of love for one another manifests itself through church splits, lack of loyalty, ostracizing those who disagree, turning on one another over insignificant reasons, church hopping, firing pastors, etc.
Equipped for Adventure is a guide for churches wanting to establish a short-term missions ministry. This book is unique in that it goes beyond simply equipping the individual for short-term missions, helping the church develop a short-term missions ministry.
