The Carol Awards are ACFW’s recognition for the best Christian fiction published by traditional publishing houses in the previous calendar year. ACFW has more than 2,000 members worldwide, consisting of authors, editors, agents, publicists, and aspiring writers. Winners will be announced at ACFW’s national conference in St. Louis, September 22–25.

Red Ink (978-1-59669-279-4, $14.99, N114127) tells the riveting story of Zhen-Li, her incarceration, and subsequent separation from her family. In a Chinese prison she continues to minister to other inmates and even to her sinister guards. The novel was inspired by the life of Li Ying, arrested and currently in prison for her role in the publication of an underground church magazine.

Red Ink is the third novel in the “Extreme Devotion” series, which focuses on the persecuted church around the world. The other three titles are: No Greater Love, More than Conquerors, and People of the Book.

Kathi’s next novel is Deliver Me from Evil (978-1-59669-306-7, $14.99, N114140). Releasing in September 2011, Deliver Me from Evil is the first book in her new “Freedom” series, which will explore the dark world of human trafficking.
